Point O-8 is a satirical driving game that perfectly demonstrates why you should drink responsibly, and never get behind the wheel while intoxicated.

Goal:

Explore an unfamiliar and procedurally generated city looking for a liquor store that will serve you.

edit: I made a bit of a mistake.. There is about a 30% chance none of them will sell to you. I have decided retroactively the game is about visiting all 4 stores and hoping to get lucky

Controls:

General:

Esc / P : Pause

R : Restart

In Vehicle:

W / S : Forward / Backward

A / D : Steer Left / Right

Space : Brake

E : Exit Vehicle

On Foot:

W / A / S / D : Walk

E / L-Mouse : Interact

Plot:

After throwing a huge party! By yourself. And having more to drink than is medically advised! You still aren't done partying! But oh no! Your stash has run dry! Surely this isn't a sign that you've had enough. No! You need more. Well what better way to get more than to hop in your car and drive to the store? I mean, it's only a few blocks away, you'll be fine!

On your drive, you start to see buildings you don't quite recognize. Oh well, there's gotta be a liquor store around here somewhere. The problem is, they all seem to refuse you service, saying you've "had enough" and even scolding you for driving there. Crazy! There's gotta be a store that won't care somewhere...

Known Issues:

• "Main Menu" button on the game over screen doesn't work. Just alt + f4.
• There is a 30% chance none of the shops will sell to you.
• Camera will clip through objects while driving. This can look weird with the occlusion culling.
• If you exit the car and press W / S on the same frame, the car may start speeding off in that direction.
• Car may sometimes fall through the map. This only ever happened once during development and I have been unable to reproduce it.
